Nurse Practitioner locum positions

Community Health Centres provide a unique opportunity for nurse practitioners to:

  • Work in an interdisciplinary setting that highly values and is knowledgeable about the NP role. In fact, CHCs were instrumental in the development of the NP as most had employed RNs is expanded role previous to the creation of the RNEC designation.
  • Maintain a wide skill base and develop new skills in a supportive environment
  • Be innovative in addressing individual, group and community health issues
  • Achieve a work/life balance. A full-time NP works 35 - 37.5 hours per week, sometimes through compressed hours with no shift work
